Pure dicamba is an odorless, white crystalline
solid. The technical acid is a pale buff crystalline solid. Water
Solubility: 6500 mg/L @ 25 ℃
Solubility in Other Solvents: acetone; dichloromethane; dioxane; ethanol.;
toluene; xylene. ;Acetone 810 g/L,Dichloromethane 260 g/L,Dioxane 1.18 kg/L,
Ethanol 922 g/L,Toluene 130 g/L,Xylene 8 g/L.
Decomposition temperature: decomposes at approx. 392 degrees F (200 degrees
C)
Melting Point: 114-116℃;Vapor Pressure: 4.5 mPa @ 25℃;Partition Coefficient:
-0.5376
Adsorption Coefficient: 2 (salt) It is a light tan slightly phenolic
crystalline solid. It is stable to oxidation and hydrolysis and melts at
temperatures between 90-100 degrees C. Dicamba is nonflammable and does not
present any unusual handling hazards. |

a) Mammalian toxicity : WHO classification :
Class III, ‘slightly hazardous’. It is non-irritant to skin but irritant to
eyes.
b) Environmental toxicity : It shows low toxicity to birds and fish. It is
practically non-toxic to bees. |
 | Mode of Action |

Used as
benzoic acid herbicides and as plant growth regulators. Inteneded for
standing grains as wheat, maize, small grains and rice. Targeted weeds:
C.ablum, Malchium aquailis (L.)Fries, Descurainia Sophia, Convolvulus
arvensis, Eclipta prostrata in corn, wheat, small grains and rice. |
