Description |
|
Nicarbazin is a synthetic broad spectrum chemical anticoccidial for
prevention and control of coccidiosis in broilers. It is designed for
continuous prophylactic use in broiler chickens. Its protective action
occurs on Day 5 in the life cycle of the developing coccidia so there is
minimal tissue damage. Nicarbazin interferes with mitochondrial
metabolism and inhibits oocyst production. It is a broad spectrum
anticoccidial effective for the prevention of coccidiosis caused by
E.tenella, E.acervulina, E.maxima, E.necartrix and E.brunetti.
Nicarbazin can also be combined with ionophoressuch as Maduramicin Ammonium
to offer a better coccidia control in shuttle programs. Nicarbazin has been
approved for prevention and control of coccidiosis in broilers in many
countries. |
